I am not a politician, or an expert. I am just someone who realized I did not have enough information, so I went to listen. What I saw last night surprised me. Not because of anger or extremism, but because of how many regular people showed up to ask questions and be heard. Whether you want something to happen or you do not, it works the same way. Open dialogue. Listen. Talk to each other!! From what I saw, this conversation has a very real chance of going to a vote. And no matter which side you are on, being informed and having all of the information matters. Stop voting red versus blue and vote for yourself this time… You do not have to agree. Shoving yourself into a position you can’t access without a lot of compensation usually isn’t the best idea if you have knee pain. To be clear, I think the Knees Over Toes approach has good qualities to it. This is not an attack on the methodology or the people involved in it. However, this is a critique on how this exercise, and many like it, may not be the best choice for many people. Some can and have seen success from these programs, but I’ve met a whole lot who haven’t. If it works for you, that’s awesome. Keep going. But if it doesn’t, then it may be time to try something different.
