Stop hating every rebrand!

Tweeted with a similar sentiment some years back. It's a net negative for the ecosystem when designers engage with rebrands that way.

You’d assume every brand designer should know this

I don’t make assumptions…

Yes and... you can't forget that part of a brand is not just the construction of the logo but the cultural connection that people have to it. The more of a connection there is, the harder it is to make big structural changes

Nice thought but these things are put into public spaces and we do this for a living so we notice and have opinions. That’s what happens. People can’t fathom the years of dedication an athlete puts in criticizes sports. When you care you comment. Would you rather people not care?

Someone finally said it; I hope they listen Especially the brand designer, doing the most analysis in isolation based on visuals

I wouldn't hold my breath...

Keep on making videos like this

Excuse me, we're not allowed reasonable takes here. (I think it's a bit embarrassing for senior designers who have a strong, public, negative reaction to change like this. Surely they all know that people react negatively to change?)

Sorry for bringing reason to the internet. I’ll never do it again!

It's no different than a client running a logo by their wife or cousin or non-stakeholder at the very last minute.

@centerbklyn Or these creative agencies can simply stop sucking the soul out everything in the world. From logos, to streets, to buildings to houses, to products, etc.

Two things can be true

agreed, but what specific business problem is instagram's new logo solving?

It’s always Koto.
