How to Create Rotation With the Back Leg How you want to actually create rotation with the back leg. For me and higher level guys, I don’t even like to think about rotation. If you feel your hips rotating, it’s probably too slow. This is such a violent, explosive movement that happens in milliseconds. You shouldn’t even be able to feel it. That’s why I think about it as a weight shift. When you’re putting force into the ground, into that X direction, most of your weight is on the back leg. Then once you create that impulse and it propels you forward, all you need to think about is getting to the front leg. That force naturally rotates the hips into foot plant. I strive for all QBs that I work with to be 800+ deg/sec with hip rotation speed. One key thing is to not mistake “sliding” for rotating. Every game you lose is your fault. A lot of players will look at this clip and blame the player back in defense. But the real fault is on the player up front who keeps going for poor challenges and overcommitting. All it should take is a single mistake from your teammate in defense for you to start playing more passively. In your solo queue games, you should not be in front of your teammate for long at all.

It only allows you to cover one outcome, whereas positioning on the same side as your teammate lets you cover multiple outcomes at the same time. If you think the play is going to go in a certain direction, simply point your nose that way instead of repositioning your entire car. This is the easiest way to show you the simplified MATCHUP between body rotation & shaft pitch. The steeper you are, the more you have to tilt in order to get the club back in position. If you try rotating instead, you’ll get way too steep on it. The shallower you are, the more you need to rotate in order to get the club back into position. If you try tilting, you’ll get stuck way underneath and will suffer from all sorts of low point and contact issues. This is a big reason why being shallower is specifically better for golfers who want to rotate more through the shot. Enjoy! 🤙

80% of pitching velocity comes from rotation. The biggest mistake I see is guys trying to rotate by pushing hard down the mound. They try to push to create as much linear momentum as possible. That’s actually the wrong way to approach it. When you push, it becomes much harder to rotate effectively. Rotation is where most of your pitching velocity comes from. Hip to shoulder separation is responsible for about 80 percent of your velocity. If you take away from that separation, you’re taking away from your velocity. That’s why even from your knees you should be able to throw about 80 percent of your top velocity. What we want to do is maximize rotation and create as much separation as possible. Your pelvis fires toward the target while the ribcage, shoulders, and pec stay back. That stretch creates torque through your torso. That torque is what propels the arm through the throw. So over the years as a Content Creator for World of Warcraft, I've picked up a few great camera tricks that can make your footage look more professional. Not sure how widely known these are but I'll share some that I know and hopefully it will be helpful to someone! So firstly, let me show you how to do a smooth rotation shot. You're going to want to create a Macro for this with this script; /script MoveViewRightStart(0.15) To modify the direction, you can change the word "Right" to Left, In, Out, Up or Down. The number at the end indicates the speed of the rotation, the higher the number the faster the rotation. I tend to keep this fairly low for a nice non-sickening rotation. Now you can combine as many of these as you like. So if you wanted a smooth shot that zoomed in on your Character while rotating Right you would make a macro like this; /script MoveViewRightStart(0.15) /script MoveViewInStart(0.15) It is fun to play around with but you will also need to create a "Stop" macro. I go with a generic one like this which will stop all rotation in all directions; /script MoveViewLeftStop() /script MoveViewDownStop() /script MoveViewRightStop() /script MoveViewUpStop() /script MoveViewInStop() /script MoveViewOutStop() Another trick to get the best possible shots of areas or up close combat is to hide your Character model. This is done with a simple console command; /console showplayer To show your player character again just type it again. As requested by Alex Miller yesterday, a look at our out of possession shape in the first half. 1: (10 secs) - Wednesday in a very narrow high block in a 523 out of possession. It only looked like this when the ball is central. Nowrich rotate (change positions during play) a lot and this narrow block denies central rotation. In this clip, they have had rotation in left back position as the CM has dropped into the area and left back on the last line. 2: 20 secs - When the ball went wide or started to move wide, the full back would advance up the pitch to pressure the full back and press full back to full back, whilst the CBs would come out with the Norwich forwards coming in between the lines, as this ball transitions across the pitch you see Sargent come out and Iorfa following tight. Fusire in this clip has come out to mark full back to full back and creating a makeshift back 4. 3: 47 secs - Wednesday get back into their narrow block shape 4: 56 secs - rotation from the front line form Norwich 5: 58 seconds, Palmer comes out of the back line to pick up the rotation and prevent space between lines. As the player turns to our left, Amass starts to come out to pick up full back to full back on the other side. In summary, Wednesday played their familiar 523 blocking shape out of possession but it was much more proactive in the back 5 than we usually see it, with full backs and Cbs following rotations and stepping out of the backline to prevent space between lines. It worked, first half. Norwich combated it a little better second half. Will get a clip out tomorrow of what they did
