This father had to go in the street to stop cars from passing a STOPPED school bus with extended stop signs so his daughter could get off the bus! Sad that people have to do this to get people to stop. Sometimes the law can vary by states but it is pretty standard. Seems more and more people aren’t paying attention or simply do not know the law when it comes to stopping for school buses. A few seconds or maybe a minute is worth it to keep our children safe. Most people don’t realize how personal this fight is for me. My son DJ is battling cancer because of the environment and the failures of leadership right here in our own community. That kind of pain changes a man. It makes every promise I make to fix these problems more than politics it makes it personal. When I talk about holding people accountable and making sure no child ever suffers like mine did, it’s because I’ve lived it. I’ve seen what happens when those in charge neglect their duty. And I will never stop fighting to make sure it never happens again.
