I feel like this is very much a non-issue. I say "anyways" rather than "anyway". It may not technically be the correct way of saying it but I don't give a shit. That's the way I say it. You know the meaning of it, so whatever.

Except these are two different verbs relating to two different things. "cast" as in "to cast a spell" is not the same thing as "cast" as in "finding actors for a project". You can say it's not proper but it's not dumb to treat different verbs differently.
