I know someone whose sister has been diagnosed as bipolar. When she's on her meds she's merely an awful person. Generic militant feminist. When she was off her meds she once went to an ex's place of work and rammed his car with hers multiple times in the parking lot.

Psych put me on an ssri. Told her it made me numb to life. I lost all care. I was very social. Very active. Lost all desire for all of it. All of it. I had tremors and was indifferent. She kept wanting to increase the dose. I kept saying no. She wouldn't stop pushing and that was the last red flag. No real therapy, just meds. I went cold turkey and found a different psych. Found a great vet ptsd group. Got actual help. Been med free ever since. SSRIs are evil.

This is frightening. Bring back shame. The only good use of antidepressants is to get off them as soon as possible. Life is difficult. You need to be able to deal with it as naturally as possible. If you are on SSRIs you should be working towards not taking them.

I was a trade school instructor, 18-22 yo students. Many rattled off an alphabet of disorders and list of meds like badges of honor. Had to be learned from somewhere. I tried telling them while that might work at school, it'd only fly so far with an employer. "But muh DISABILITY RIGHTS!" Welcome to simply "not a good fit", or better yet, AT-WILL employment.

Like all things there’s a time & a place. There are a lot of people that don’t need medication, but I am someone that does. I have severe OCD & on 300mg of Zoloft. I weigh 108 pounds. Im not numb or crazy. Im actually a well functioning adult because of it. Stop fear mongering

Been saying.. antidepressants and anxiety meds are way too overprescribed. If they went around filming how many pain killers they were on, the DEA would be beating the door down. Antidepressants are not a cure all for every single symptom a person has 🥴
