Sounds like he’s close to suggesting a dictatorial or feudal system, because a democratic system doesn’t give you the luxury to "think in generations". You can even do diligent work compared to your predecessor and still be out-campaigned and voted out.

Absolutely spot on. Incentives drive behavior from national and personal perspective, if incentive is another term you get hyperbole and fluff, if incentive is impact in society you get transformational change. Interestingly enough, this also applies to private enterprise, firms that live for the quarter die within the decade, firms that live for the decade keep growing quarter to quarter.

The political system has been on of the main pillars that have been established to keep us from forming a united front. There's a lot that can be done but most importantly, we need to make sure the next generation are instilled with the right mentality.

Too real.

It's not possible if you're perpetually in survival mode.

What will generations to come remember us by?

Learnt a lot listening to this conversation.

I just saw this interview today. Spectacular!

Most inconsequential 'prof' in Kenya... Zero effectiveness when anti corruption tools were in his furry hands.

If All African leaders will sit under the feet of these two wise and actionable men. Africa will take a huge at a very fast Pace. Thanks, Vusi. we the younger generation are taking steps to end the narrative of poverty in Africa.
