Speak. Also it would be natural that the accent of the country, state, or culture will be taught as well. All Black Deaf people are seasoned and have that swag just like hearing black people. We also have our own sign language as well!

This is a serious issue. I used to love listening to gospel music and signing them in my car. I stopped b/c it was reported that gang members shot a deaf person dead for using ASL in Inglewood off the 105 freeway years ago. So many ignorant, very stupid people in the world.

On a slightly humorous note, I thought for a sec that by “dangerous”, you meant dangerous for the one throwing up gang signs, coz I can only imagine how badly it could go for person who mocks the deaf when they meet the wrong MF! I never considered that throwing up gang signs could be dangerous in that way for sign language users tho, but…sigh… it unfortunately makes sense.
