Stop saying that Opus 4.6 is better than Opus 4.8. I just tested Claude Opus 4.8 (Right) and Claude Opus 4.6 (Left) on the same exact prompt. Claude Opus 4.8 completed it in less than 2 minutes. Claude Opus 4.6 "Garnished" for over 7 minutes. Stop using Opus 4.6.

I re-subbed to Claude Code to test out Opus 4.8 It's both better and worse than I expected tbh. Claude models have some really weird behaviors/hallucinations and seem to be getting slower That said, workflows are dope and the model is still very good...

Yesterday we found out Qwen3.5-27B (dense) beats both the 35B and 122B MoE variants at UI replication from screenshots. Today's question: what about Jackrong's Qwen3.5-27B-Claude-Opus-4.6-Reasoning-Distilled? A distilled 27B with Claude Opus 4.6 reasoning baked in. So I put all 3 in the ring: - Qwen3.5-27B - Qwen3.5-27B-Claude-Opus-Distilled - Claude Opus 4.6 Since the distilled model isn't multimodal, I gave all three the same detailed text prompts describing the UI components from yesterday's test.

Opus 4.6 fails consistently but Opus 4.5 passes every time he switched back to Opus 4.5 on Claude Code and said "what a difference, feels like i got Opus back finally" he is now using this test as a "quantization canary" that runs it at the start of every session before doing real work. if it fails, the model is degraded. five Opus 4.6 windows in a row failed the untransparent nerfing is pushing people to cancel their Max plans if you've been feeling like Opus got dumber lately, you're not imagining it i'd suggest switching to Opus 4.5 to see the difference for yourself

opus 5 is getting routed to opus 5.2 tested opus 5 on xhigh with the same prompt in devin and claude code but results came out really different > claude code one is clean and more detailed > while devin one is almost there but not the same opus 5 in cc used to be lazy and hard to communicate with, but something changed in the last 2 days now it works for longer and is way easier to communicate with anthropic did same with fable release too where some users were being routed to fable 5.1 so it’s very likely opus 5 is getting routed to 5.2 in claude code can you guys tests and lemme know if it's getting routed for you or not?
