Wow this was great! We’ve landed in a surprisingly similar spot: pi on herdr seems like the best meta right now. I’ve got everything in Ruby but I don’t think language particularly matters anymore. It took me an extra few months to stop looking at the code. March of 2025 was bold. There are engineers today that think this is bonkers though so 🤷🏻‍♂️ Also I’d love to figure out a better sandboxing story. There’s so much power to just hand everything over to every agent but it feels irresponsible. Nono or sandboxing in VMs or physical machine isolation? Still trying to figure this out.

How can players make a big jump next year?!?! For High School and College players… they all put in work with their coaches. Most of them have a trainer they see to put in work. So what is the separator? 1. Are you working on the right things with your coaches that are going to help you be a better player working your team and overall 2. HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU PUT IN THE GYM ON YOUR OWN. This is a HUGE SEPARATOR because this time isn’t dependent on anyone and is unlimited in how much you do. Almost every player I’ve worked with that has made a BIG JUMP has put in extra time on their own. It’s not only because of the work, but it also helps players understand their game better and gives them a bigger investment in their development. As a player you should assess that part of your development today!

An elementary school principal named Charles Smith (who I include in my acknowledgments of my next book “All The Wrong Moves”) ran a reading contest in first grade. I won it and that man probably created my love of reading for life. When your parents are fighting, you develop survival skills. One of them is insulation. You become a little introverted. You spend a lot of time reading, collecting comic books, trading cards. Building your own little world, which is exactly how I dealt with it.
