In this SCP-inspired survival horror world, you have to communicate with your team members using your walkie talkies (there is also proximity chat) and escape before the employees catch up to you.

There is a day and night cycle in the game. During the night, you gotta scavenge for food, tools, and other items necessary for your survival while also looking for places to hide. During the night, the lights go out and the employees come out to roam around the aisles.

Developed by @EmbersGames, Storebound looks really fun and it seems to answer my big question of "what if IKEA was a horror theme park" Interested? Check it out here and wishlist to support them:

so basically SCP-3008 the game

I don’t know much about SCPs but I do believe that the devs got inspired by it, yes

If this concept intrigues anyone else horror writer Grady Hendrix wrote a book about a haunted Ikea store. I thought it was pretty good, and might be worth checking out.

I remember reading a creepypasta (or SCP?) with a similar premise. An IKEA so impossibly big that small settlements had been set up in it.

Another one of these fucking types of games huh? Backrooms clones are the new 2d platformers for indie studios

Didn't I see either a demo or proof of concept containing this exact setting several years back?

I'm all for infinite ikea / backrooms / liminal style games.
