Good morning everyone, Yesterday afternoon we got sent an absolutely brilliant video from Robin Lawson-Wills at Perranporth Beach, and what an amazing little atmospheric moment this turned out to be. Captured in the shallow water near the shoreline was a small spinning whirlwind vortex dancing its way around the water. At first glance, it almost looks like a mini waterspout trying to make an appearance, with spray, sand and wind all twisting together in classic dramatic Cornwall style. And despite being fairly small, these spinning pockets of air can still pack quite a punch. In one of the videos, you can actually see the force of the twisting wind and spray knocking Robin slightly off balance while crouched down filming it as the vortex spun past him. A good reminder that even tiny atmospheric features can have surprising power behind them. SO WHAT CAUSED IT? This type of small whirlwind can develop when: Blustery winds interact with cliffs, rocks and dunes, Sea breeze meets colder or warmer moving air, Uneven heating and airflow create rotation near the surface, Gusty conditions start twisting spray and sand together Because this one formed right in the shallow water along the beach edge, it gave it that almost “mini waterspout” appearance as it pulled up spray while spinning along. Cornwall’s beaches are actually brilliant places for these odd little weather features because the coastline, cliffs and changing wind directions can create all sorts of tiny localised vortices and wind tunnels. Most of these are harmless and short-lived, but they can still: Throw sand and spray around, Steal hats, relocate beach towels without permission, and apparently try to wrestle weather photographers into the sea Classic Cornwall behaviour really. MICROCLIMATES IN CORNWALL ARE FASCINATING One of the reasons Cornwall is so interesting weather-wise is that conditions can change massively over tiny distances. Beaches like Perranporth often create their own little microclimates where winds accelerate near cliffs and headlands, especially during blustery northerly or northwesterly setups as we’ve had recently. So while one part of the beach may feel fairly calm, another section suddenly turns into “Atmospheric Washing Machine Mode.” Huge thanks again to Robin Lawson-Wills for sending this fantastic capture to us we absolutely love seeing unusual weather moments from around Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Friendly and calm Beluga #252045 (white dog) arrived in Apple Valley CA pregnant. It appears she's since given birth to her puppies and as AVAS has little compassion for any living being, there are now many lives in danger. She is kenneled here with Tiger #252044 who's sadly a young female puppy of just 9 MONTHS OLD and is scheduled TBK anytime. No disrespect, but Ilia would finish Bud at any time he wants in MMA. Crawford is an incredible boxer and did ‘some’ wrestling as a kid, but even if the fight somehow stayed on the feet, he’d struggle to manage distance against Ilia’s kicking game. MMA striking and boxing are very different when you add in kicks and elbows…something Crawford himself has admitted would be a problem for him in MMA. A few of these calf kicks or one takedown, and it’s basically over. And please, don’t come at me with Crawford’s wrestling pedigree. He has some skills, but a completely different level than Ilia. No disrespect, but Ilia would finish Bud at any time he wants in MMA. Crawford is an incredible boxer and did ‘some’ wrestling as a kid, but even if the fight somehow stayed on the feet, he’d struggle to manage distance against Ilia’s kicking game. MMA striking and boxing are very different when you add in kicks and elbows…something Crawford himself has admitted would be a problem for him in MMA. A few of these calf kicks or one takedown, and it’s basically over. And please, don’t come at me with Crawford’s wrestling pedigree. He has some skills, but a completely different level than Ilia. I am SO proud to announce that the first Karmagawa rescue elephant SomPond arrived safely at her new home at Elephant Nature Park here in #thailand after a looooooong 24 hour ride out of captivity! My birthday is in 5 days and it was my bday wish to see her free -- now for the first time in 45 years without chains, SomPond explored her new barn before calmly enjoying the food Lek & her amazing team prepared to welcome her. We gave Som Pond the space to rest and eat at her own pace—no rushing, no pressure, and no force of any kind anymore as a new chapter of her life has now begun... I'll post more details about this INSANE week, sorry I'm so behind with everyone as the rescue was much more complex than I realized, but most importantly this beautiful elephant is free and will never be in chains or abused again! Please retweet and help me get the word out -- DO NOT RIDE ELEPHANTS AS THAT SUPPORTS ANINAL CRUELTY AND ABUSE SO PLEASE SHARE AND MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOWS IT!

#VeeCon was definitely a highlight of the year. It was amazing meeting Gary Vaynerchuk who has been inspiring me for so many years. I'm so grateful to have taken a leap of faith last year to become a full time artist and share my art with the world 🙏🏼 Thank you to KidJet for telling me to go to Veecon and for always believing in me and my art. I didn't know if I was going to be successful or not, I just knew I wanted to make people happy when they received my art or experienced it and I'm glad I was able to share that at Veecon 🙏🏼 I painted every chance I got, connected with so many people and painted canvases for multiple communities like world of women and alien frens. Thank you to , @We365_, GLR and Matlack 🏝️🐕 for having me paint your canvases live during Veecon 2023 🙏🏼 Some highlights for me was meeting other dope artists such as danny cole, Gabe Weis, and Robin Hoodd, it was good vibes all around👨🏻‍🎨 Huge shout out to @theARTdept_weho for providing a creative space to paint with and Dee, inspiring a collab with MirafromMiami.
