I am really not worried about kids once they are AT school. I am worried about kids getting TO school on the roads in a hurricane. The mayor said stay off the roads. Isn’t it irresponsible to encourage students to travel on them to get to school in the morning??

It is irresponsible to put out a video regarding potential emergency conditions without providing captions and ASL interpretation. You have excluded a significant portion of our school community at a critical time. Do better. Now.

Where is the inclusion of the Deaf staff, students and families? Caption ALL videos. Add ASL interpreters.

He’s lying I work at a school and there was nothing done before this storm. Every rain my roof leaks and it will probably be completely flooded Monday! For the sake and safety of everyone he should close the schools like every other governmental organization. LAUSD=not prepared

So important, but no captions? Or ASL interpreter?

Why not post the text of the statement so we can just read it instead of having to watch the video?

Hurricanes are mild now though, right? Kids are hardly affected by hurricanes and the emotional impact of missing school is worse than dying in a hurricane

With what the schools are currently teaching the children, I find it best for the schools to close down permanently and give parents more home schooling type options like community schooling.
