Why didn't you tell us that a hurricane was coming our way? Red Alert was a misnomer. We get so many false Red Alerts that the description has lost all meaning. It's a scary hurricane!

This should have been a red alert for the the whole country. The worst I experienced in 12 years in this country. Worst than the beast from the east from few years ago.

Guys... more counties should of been red?? Seeing videos of Roofs being ripped off the sheds but in an orange alert... Trees down as well

Coming up to 11am, a bit of a break in the heavy rain at the moment but more will move in this afternoon and evening with highest amounts in South and Southeast by morning. Over 40mm has already fallen in parts of South. Staying very windy also but winds will ease tonight.

🚨#BREAKING: A Significant tornado outbreak will likely happen this evening 📌#UnitedStates | #USA A dangerous and concerning weather outbreak will likely happen this evening hitting parts of Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi and parts of Tennessee. Any sustained supercells will be capable of producing strong to intense to violent (EF2+) tornadoes, with long-track tornadoes possible. Hail, and strong damaging winds will break out across the states later this evening into the night people should take this seriously as this could be a life threatening situation.

This morning’s update: About 20,000 customers remain without power, primarily in the Richmond and Presidio. I have been in touch with community leaders in those neighborhoods and we’re working to bring resources directly to those communities. We will continue to push PG&E for a firm timeline on full power restoration. We will continue to provide updates later this morning.
