Strange sighting from my helicopter while traveling back from Skinwalker Ranch… There is a very remote hidden lake in the High Uintahs with reports of a prehistoric lake creature that survived. When I was first told of this place years ago, it was with a story that the Native... Americans referred to the location as “Dinosaur Lake”. On our first pass flying over the lake it was absolutely still…but on our second pass, we were totally caught off guard by huge sudden movement in the lake and a fast moving trail in its wake. Upon turning the helicopter around, we saw another movement & trailing wake on the other side of the lake - it appears there were potentially two of “them”. @camfugal @SWRanchOfficial I frequent those lakes. While I know there are strange occurrences up there, as I’ve had one, I think these honestly look like river otters/beaver. At least from what I see on the video.

@camfugal @SWRanchOfficial Those are beavers. These very lakes have a bunch of them. The stream that connects the lakes is called Beaver Creek. You can see signs of Beaver activity all over the shoreline in this video. Signed, a person who has lived and frequented the high *Uintas for decades.

Monica and I visited the Devil's Ladder on the old Kit Carson Pioneer Trail, just east of Carson Pass. This was a year or two ago, and we decided to walk down the trail just a bit. This was a section of trail that was notorious back in the 1840s and 50s. A pioneer diary says, "…just ahead was a wall several thousand feet high which had to be climbed to get out of this valley….come to the conclusion this was the end of the road…It was called Devil’s Ladder." What impressed us was how steep the trail was, and the fact that the pioneers would have to unload their wagons, carry all their belongings up the trail, while their wagons were pulled up by a team of oxen and a series of ropes.
