WHY AMBIENCE? The theme of this years Reboot Camp is: AMBIENCE - Manifesting the presence of God You might be wondering, “Why ambience?” When the bible uses the term “the presence of God”, there are three things it could be referring to: The first is the “Omnipresence of God” This means God is everywhere at once. David describing this said “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.” (Psalm 139:7-8) The second is the “Indwelling presence of God” The is exclusive to the believer in Christ. It refers to us receiving the Holy Spirit at salvation. The third is the “Manifest presence of God” Whilst God is everywhere at once, based on his Omnipresence, He doesn't manifest everywhere. This is why Jacob could say “God was here and i did not know” (Genesis 28:16). He knew God was Omnipresent, but at a point in time, God chose to make his presence manifest in certain place. As a believer in Christ, not only are you to be familiar with the indwelling presence of God in you, but because God lives in you, His presence can be manifest through you as well. The Psalms let us know that because God dwelt in the midst of the Israelites, the sea saw it and fled, the Jordan was turned back and even the mountains skipped like rams (Psalm 114:1-4). Through the manifest presence of God, you can experience tangible miracles often. It isn’t exclusive to Men of God alone, you also can be a carrier of God’s presence! This is what God wants to do at this years Reboot Camp, He wants you to be an envoy of his ambience! Are you ready??

Bill Maher Asks Why Islam Gets a Different Standard Than Christianity. Bill Maher: “Keith Ellison, isn’t the treatment of Muslims in America the last frontier of racism? I’d say Muslims and atheists.” Keith Ellison: “From time to time, we just pick a new person to persecute and scapegoat.” Bill Maher: “But even Muslims are above atheists because they are people of faith.” Keith Ellison: “Muslims didn’t do it. Some homicidal maniacs did.” Bill Maher: “In the name of Islam.” Keith Ellison: “What does it matter that they invoked the religion? Anders Breivik slaughtered 70 people. I don’t hold Christians responsible for that.” Bill Maher: “That’s naive. The hate comes from the holy book.” Barney Frank: “When people misuse something you believe in and invoke it, you do have a responsibility to be critical of them. And that’s true of Islam, Judaism, Christianity and Hinduism.” Keith Ellison: “Fundamentalists who believe they can kill to make you believe them are the problem. People of faith, I don’t think, are.” Bill Maher: “Muslims, of course, are not terrorists. But I’ve found a lot of reasonable, moderate Muslims who, if you ask them whether someone who insults the Prophet has it coming if they get injured, will say yes.” Keith Ellison: “Well, I say no.” Bill Maher argues that religious extremism deserves to be confronted, while Keith Ellison and Barney Frank push back against blaming an entire faith for the actions of extremists. The argument ultimately comes down to whether the problem is religion itself or fundamentalists who use religion to justify violence.
