Michael Abner was woken up at 5 a.m. on July 4 by the owner of the RV park he was at, pounding on his door — the lot had flooded and other RVs were already floating. They had just enough time to grab a couple bags before leaving, but as they were rushing to gather their belongings, he heard a scream for help. “It was an RV with a family of five in it, floating,” he said. “And I was trying to reach where I can grab a little girl that was at a window, but I couldn’t reach her and she couldn’t get out.” Police told Abner there was nothing he could do and to leave for his own safety. Lucy Harrison was visiting from the UK when she was shot by her father. Her father, Kris Harrison, moved to the US when she was a child. Kris was heard telling officers that the gun accidentally went off. "She said, ‘Do you have a gun?’ And I said, ‘Yes.’ I got it out and it just went off as she stood there, like as I pulled it out it went off," he claimed. He admitted in court that he and his daughter previously had a "big argument" about Trump, and they had frequent fights over his conservative beliefs. "To shoot her through the chest whilst she was standing would have required him to have been pointing the gun at his daughter, without checking for bullets, and pulling the trigger," said senior coroner Jacqueline Devonish. "I accept he was a teaser, and on the balance of probabilities, this is what he was doing. I accept he did not realize the gun was loaded." Harrison was allegedly an alcoholic and reportedly drank a 17-ounce carton of white wine the day he shot his daughter. He was able to escape manslaughter charges, and the death was ruled an accident.

What makes people go from 0 to 100 in the span of two seconds. I’m the first one to call out if I think a cop is overstepping his boundaries and mistreating people.. THIS guy lost his 💩 in two seconds and all the cop did was ask for his drivers license because he had been speeding. All he had to do was give the cop his license and stay quiet if he didn’t feel like interacting, he went on a verbal tirade, the likes of which I’ve never heard anyone do completely unprovoked.. am I reading this situation wrong? I can’t even imagine being this poor guy‘s wife, and what she has to deal with on a daily basis..

Officer holds man at gunpoint that does not fit description of the person he is looking for. Officer Kerzaya was called out to this hotel as a white man pulled a gun on the hotel staff. As the officer was searching the premises he ran into Trey an employee of the hotel and also African American. The officer proceeded to pull his firearm on and hold Trey at gun point for a number of minutes. The whole time Trey had his hands up and was eventually on his knees. Once verified Trey was an employee all he said to him was get out of here. Next this officer pulled his gun on another person in the hotel that also did not fit the description. The officer resigned from duty as his certification was stripped from him. Trey filed suit against the city and pulled in a settlement.

A hard rescue today as I got a message from a kind local lady who needed help with an old blind dog. The poor boy was most likely dumped in the area because the “end was close for him”. He was confused on the beach and stuck. He wouldn’t have lasted much longer were it not for their bravery. His vet results were about as bad as it gets. His eyes might be glaucoma as he can’t see a thing and his kidneys and liver are bad as well as severe anemia. His anemia is so bad we can’t even put him on a drip. While I was driving him around I just had to keep talking to him as his head would keep dropping. His body is so weak. He is also very hard to handle as he lashes out with bites as he can’t see what is going on around him. He is terrified. The ladies called him Rocky as they are hoping he will make a comeback. It won’t be easy at all but he did start eating, drinking and resting well this evening. We will all have to keep everything crossed for this lovely boy. Whatever happens he isn’t on his own and he has the best medical care now. Rocky even let me pet his head tonight. I think he understands he is safe.
