Street Fighter first released into arcades 36 years ago today in 1987!

The train in the background made me think of Bad Dudes for those that remember that old arcade game from the same time. Guess graffitied trains where a big thing thinking back on it.

Who knew this would spawn a phenomenal legacy of games

My local newsagent had the pressure-sensitive buttons cabinet! Never seen it in the wild since about 1990

this game was so bad, and I loved it. it was way ahead of it's time and suffered for it, but it was such a unique arcade experience.

SF2 was so far ahead of this, was never that fussed on Street Fighter but when the sequel came out…. wow!

And it was janky and clunky as hell. But the sequel fixed that up nicely.
