Earlier today, I led an extensive inspection tour of critical drainage infrastructure and flood mitigation projects across Lekki, Agungi, Ikota and Ajiran, and what we uncovered demands immediate and decisive action. The persistent flooding in Agungi despite the completion of major drainage infrastructure over two years ago has a clear cause. At Ajiran, we discovered that a land owning family deliberately blocked the outfall channel that was specifically designed to discharge stormwater by gravity into the Lagos Lagoon. I have directed that the outlet be reopened immediately in the overriding public interest. Let me state clearly: no individual or family has the right to obstruct natural watercourses or public drainage infrastructure regardless of their land titles. We are not taking anyone's land. We are simply restoring the channel to allow water to flow freely and protect thousands of residents from avoidable flooding. At Megamond Estate in Ikota, we found that developers had illegally reclaimed part of the Ikota River and commenced construction without obtaining the necessary environmental and drainage approvals. Enforcement and abatement notices had been served previously but were ignored. From tomorrow morning, all illegal structures erected on reclaimed drainage alignments without approval in that estate will be removed. This action sends a clear message that Lagos will not tolerate encroachment on drainage channels or public infrastructure. I also reiterate that any development involving wetlands or water related projects must obtain an Environmental Impact Assessment and Wetland Clearance from the Ministry before any reclamation or construction begins. We do not care whose ox is gored. It is unfair to law abiding residents and unacceptable because it compromises public safety. I urge every Lagosian to remain vigilant. The illegal activities we uncovered today came to our attention through whistleblowers. We investigated, verified, and acted. See something, say something - constructively. We are fully committed to a #CleanerLagos and a #GreaterLagos.

WOW you’re gonna want to watch this town hall. Though honestly the video doesn’t do it justice because it’s hard to hear how loud the protestors were. I love the Kingwood community and townhalls here have ALWAYS been productive and educational, even when we might disagree. I always give updates on my work in Congress–especially on flood mitigation since that affects Kingwood so profoundly. I always do Q&A. Always respectful. Last night was different. Of the 400 people in the room, about fifty leftists would not stop interrupting with shouting and incoherent chanting. They demanded that we raise everyone's taxes, give free paychecks to able-bodied adults, and sneered at the success of the flood mitigation projects we’ve done that have saved lives and property. First clue that most of these protesters probably weren't actual constituents: they tried to shout me down when I gave an update on funding for FLOOD MITIGATION, which is priority #1 in Kingwood. They’d know how important these projects are if they actually lived in Kingwood during Hurricane Harvey. Anyways, the protestors did a great job of annoying all the actual constituents in the room and made it really easy to identify themselves with their red cards (you’ll see what I mean in the video. It was kind of hilarious actually). If the left keeps this up 2026 is going to be a really good year for Republicans. The left’s message is clear: raise your taxes, open the border back up, and encourage children to transition their gender. No thanks.

The Trump administration is proposing to ask visitors from several dozen nations that enjoy visa-free travel to the U.S. to submit additional personal information before entering the country, including five years of their social media history, emails they have used for the past 10 years and the personal information of immediate family members. Arterial drainage maintenance works on the River Morningstar at Athlacca, Co. Limerick. These works were completed by the Office of Public Works (OPW) during the period November 2025 to January 2026. I visited the site last week when the machines had already left the site. However, I have been provided with photos showing the works underway. Significant areas of riparian woodland have been removed, and alluvial woodland was also cleared from islands within the river. There is evidence of substantial silt mobilisation and in-stream disturbance. The riverbanks have been destabilised as a result of the removal of trees and other vegetation. Although silt fences are now present, they did not prevent fine sediment and wet soil from entering the channel during the work. Machines tracked instream during the salmonid close season. This damage will affect the river for years to come, and a permanent loss of riparian woodland has occurred. The removal of woodland set back from the riverbank extends well beyond what would be considered to be river maintenance works. The River Morningstar is an important salmonid nursery and spawning tributary of the River Maigue. The lower reaches of the River Maigue form part of the Lower River Shannon Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and the River Shannon and River Fergus Estuaries Special Protection Area (SPA). Works like these are completed under the Arterial Drainage Act (1945). They are supposed to protect against flooding, but in reality, they have the opposite effect. By draining water off farmland too quickly, river works like this increase flood risk in downstream urban areas. This work was completed to protect wet farmland in a natural floodplain. We do need flood mitigation measures - but they need to be effective, sustainable, and based on evidence. In most cases that means slowing the flow of water through natural flood management techniques and restoring floodplains and wetlands to absorb excess water rather than pushing it downstream. We need to reform the Arterial Drainage Act (1945) and recognise the vital role that floodplains, alluvial woodlands and wetlands play in flood management and mitigation. Instead of fighting against nature, we should be working with it to ensure communities are truly protected in the long term. A healthy, functioning river catchment benefits everyone - not just wildlife, but the people who live alongside it too.

The River Morningstar is an important salmonid nursery and spawning tributary of the River Maigue. The lower reaches of the River Maigue form part of the Lower River Shannon Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and the River Shannon and River Fergus Estuaries Special Protection Area (SPA). Works like these are completed under the Arterial Drainage Act (1945). They are supposed to protect against flooding, but in reality, they have the opposite effect. By draining water off farmland too quickly, river works like this increase flood risk in downstream urban areas. This work was completed to protect wet farmland in a natural floodplain. We do need flood mitigation measures - but they need to be effective, sustainable, and based on evidence. In most cases that means slowing the flow of water through natural flood management techniques and restoring floodplains and wetlands to absorb excess water rather than pushing it downstream. We need to reform the Arterial Drainage Act (1945) and recognise the vital role that floodplains, alluvial woodlands and wetlands play in flood management and mitigation. Instead of fighting against nature, we should be working with it to ensure communities are truly protected in the long term. A healthy, functioning river catchment benefits everyone - not just wildlife, but the people who live alongside it too.

Flood: We do have an issue with soybeans. We're very concerned about it. China's playing games, obviously, in this ongoing trade war, the same trade war that Biden didn't lift a finger on for four years. But we find ourselves in a situation where I think that that $10 billion—it's absolutely necessary for the soybean farmers. Listen, we're opening up new markets. Indonesia, Vietnam. These are these are good things for America and American soybean growers. But given the fact that China has diverted and they're buying a lot of soybeans from Argentina or Brazil or whatnot we do have a problem. This is an immediate crisis that needs to be addressed. And just like president trump did in 2017, he promised when he started this trade effort that he would be there, have the backs of American farmers. This small aggressive critter is an extinct genus of reptile known for its long neck and high profile. We’ve been holding public tests of a new Solo Matchmaking server, and experimenting with a ‘permadeath’ matchmaking option. We’ve also been doing more public tests with our ‘King of the Hill’ gamemode, allowing players to test their skill in team-based matches! Naija Confra is calling on the Governor of Edo State and the Edo State Police to thoroughly investigate the k**ling of Courage, a Maphite (GCAI) member described by many as peaceful. While the task force claimed it was linked to revenue collection, our findings strongly disagree. Our investigation indicates that Aye (NBM) reopened a 3-year-old conflict. Courage was k**led because of Eddie Bongo, an Aye k**led 3 years ago by Maphite at Central Road, and Aye members directly referenced that past incident during our investigations. This was not the first time Aye had tried to k**l Courage. The task force described Amen’s k**ling as revenue collection, but Naija Confra’s findings show it was a retaliatory cult attack by Maphite after the k**ling of Courage. Following Amen’s de@th, more cult-related attacks occurred, none linked to revenue issues. The pattern, timing, and testimonies all point to cult rivalry, not revenue collection disputes. The task force was absolutely WRONG. Naija Confra is calling for justice for Courage’s family so they can know the true cause of his de@th. We maintain that we have direct access to members across different groups, giving us first-hand information that does not align with the task force’s explanation. We are urging authorities to publicly present those the task force claim to have arrested so their testimonies can be heard. Carney's Public Safety Minister has ties to terror groups — he needs to be fired! Would you trust your family’s safety to a guy who’s literally banned from dealing with terrorist threats — because of his own connections to them? No? Well, too bad. Because that guy’s name is Gary Anandasangaree, and he’s your federal Public Safety Minister. Canada’s Public Safety Minister is too compromised to handle public safety. That’s not a punchline — it’s the actual state of affairs in Carney's Liberal circus. Gary Anandasangaree, the guy tasked with keeping you safe from domestic foreign threats, can’t even be briefed on files related to a known terrorist organization, the Tamil Tigers — because he’s been personally involved with their Canadian front groups. But instead of stepping down, Anandasangaree has simply recused himself from dealing with them. Let’s walk through this slowly so even CBC journalists can follow along. In 2014, the Sri Lankan government — not some alt-right blog — warned Canada that Anandasangaree had deep ties to the Tamil Tigers. The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. Which raises the obvious question: who is overseeing those files now? Who’s protecting Canadians from threats that Anandasangaree is too compromised to touch? Nobody seems to know. And Carney isn’t saying. You can’t be in charge of Public Safety if you have to put asterisk after ‘public’ and ‘safety.’ This isn’t just poor judgment. It’s a national security risk. Following credible reports that hoodlums had taken over the Orile Under Bridge and were extorting money from cart pushers who dump refuse illegally in the area, the Environmental Task Force carried out a raid at about 2:45pm today. During the operation, 26 suspects were arrested. Some of them admitted to collecting money from cart pushers in exchange for allowing indiscriminate dumping of waste. They have been taken into custody for further investigation and necessary action in line with the law. In a separate operation earlier today at about 8:00am, Agency operatives continued the ongoing clean-up exercise along the Coastal Road. Hoodlums had converted the road setback into makeshift dwellings, erecting several wooden sheds and occupying the corridor unlawfully. The illegal structures were dismantled, and items stored along the roadside were removed. We will not allow public infrastructure to be hijacked for illegal activities. Enforcement will remain consistent and sustained across the State. #ZeroToleranceLagos

In his latest interview with ABC, Bilal Rauf Senior Advisor to the Australian National Imams Council (ANIC), spoke about the anxiety many Australian Muslims are feeling as some politicians and commentators have used this tragedy to inflame fear and suspicion between communities in Australia. He warned against opportunism in a moment that should demand solidarity: “Some have seen this, sadly, as an opportunity to push other agendas when this should be a time where we stand together. This has created an atmosphere of anxiety and apprehension amongst so many.” Bilal also stressed that while action and change are necessary, law reform must be careful and considered, not overly punitive and designed to punish legitimate protest or silence genuine grievance. “There is no doubt that action needs to be taken however… aspects of the report, including its failure to distinguish and clarify that comments and genuine grievance over what is occurring in Israel... may be associated with antisemitism when it is not.” Now is the time for leadership that lowers the temperature, protects community safety and cultivates social cohesion in Australia.
