Ravinder Jatheri is on Hunger Strike since last 77 days against the misuse of SC/ST Act. But, our Govt, Judiciary and even Media are least bothered. When protests were announced against UGC bill then Govt used brutal force and arrested hundreds of people to prevent them from organizing any protest. Govt denied us permission multiple times to protest at Jantar Mantar against the misuse of Laws and Male Suicide. We were forced to leave the protest venue sharp at 5 pm whenever we protested at Jantar Mantar. Our entire team were arrested within 10 minutes when we assembled to do a candle March at India Gate in Dec 2024 to demand Justice For #AtulSubhash. But, the same Govt provided protection and allowed CJP to protest at Jantar Mantar for weeks. Seems, Govt of India has decided to implement 100% reservation in organizing protests and demonstrations. Only women, LGBTQ and some special category people are allowed to do any kind of protests in the country now.

Do you remember when Palestinian protesters blockaded the entrance to the House of Commons for hours before fighting police on Wellington street? I do! These protests are not peaceful. They have been violent since the very start and they have been allowed to continue for almost 2 years with basically no consequences. I was there days ago. People are happy Maduro was designated a narco terrorist, but they won’t say it on camera because they risk detention or arrest. It will never stop being shocking to witness hundreds of peaceful protesters being hauled from the streets into police vans. Police chiefs have a choice about how they police protests. These arrests are in breach of the UK's international human rights obligations and should not be happening. Arresting hundreds of people for peacefully sitting down and holding a sign is not the job of the police and is a waste of their time when they could be out helping people. Amnesty has long criticised UK terrorism law for being excessively broad, vaguely worded and a threat to freedom of expression. Police responses to these peaceful protests only further confirm that our concerns are justified.

These people are wreaking havoc on the city and ICE. Trump is sending in the National Guard to make sure ICE can do their jobs as safely as possible. Not because he “hates peaceful protest”.

As long as it is the students who are protesting and their protest is against the irregularities and mishaps in the NEET exams, the protests are totally valid. But the moment fringe elements creep in with ulterior motives, neither the state nor the centre should remain silent, It needs to be curbed. The recent developments have only shown that apart from the campaigns against NEET, its is slowly turning into side campaigns against Article 370 abrogation, slogans chanting de*th of the Prime Minister and staging a Nepal types rebellion. It is obvious that someone else trying to hide behind the student campaigns and achieve their objective. People like Arivu who kept quite during the DMK Govt are now suddenly jumping in to protest at a place that is not allowed for protests. The TVK Govt was polite enough to even have a discussion with him when he actually went against the law. Answer these two questions 1. Why are there no Pro Palestine students protests happening in any of 56 Islamic countries like Turkey, Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arab, Jordan, Malaysia, Indonesia etc ? Why are all protests happening either in US or Europe or India only ? 2. Why are there no student protests for Syria, Yaman, Afghanistan, Sudan, Congo, Nigeria where civil war is going on and situation is worse than Palestine ? Why are all protests only for Palestine? I know you don't have answer of these two questions. Remember two things whenever you analyse political event 👇 1. Nothing happens accidently.
