“Studio carbon insert, chain link milling” Big putter needs to be stopped. This is your reminder of what we once had. German Stainless Steel, fine milling. You won’t catch me spending $500 on a new putter until we get raw carbon steel heads or GSS inserts with fine milling

Elon Musk says steel killed carbon fiber on Starship at one-fiftieth the cost. Carbon fiber was supposed to be the future of rocketry. Lighter than aluminum. Stronger than steel. Trusted by every Formula 1 team. SpaceX picked it for Starship. "Particularly if you go for a high-strength specialized carbon fiber that can handle cryogenic oxygen, it's roughly 50 times the cost of steel." Then progress stalled. The autoclaves needed to cure the resin had to outsize every autoclave on Earth, and the team couldn't even produce a clean barrel section without wrinkles. Musk, watching the Mars timeline slip: "At this rate, we're never going to get to Mars. So we've got to think of something else." So he asked the question nobody at SpaceX had asked: "What about steel?" It became known as the **cryogenic stainless flip**. Musk, who had already shipped Falcon 9 in aluminum-lithium, broke with the textbook. "When you look at the material properties of stainless steel, full-hard, strain hardened stainless steel, at cryogenic temperature the strength to weight is actually similar to carbon fiber." Starship ran on cryogenic methane and oxygen. The airframe lived at temperatures that flipped steel ahead of carbon fiber. "You could smoke a cigar while welding stainless steel." After Musk made the call, steel weighed less than the carbon fiber version. Fifty times cheaper in raw material. Twice the heat tolerance. Half the heat shield mass. Musk, looking back: "In retrospect, we should have started with steel in the beginning. It was dumb not to do steel." What "obvious" material in your work is silently costing you the project? #WATCH | Raipur, Chhattisgarh: On the Green Steel and Mining Summit, CII Chairman, Chhattisgarh, Bajrang Goel, says, “There will be approximately 8 technical sessions, and over 400 delegates have already registered, coming from across India and even abroad. We have already received confirmations from experts arriving from South Africa, the US, and Brazil. At this event, we will discuss how to reduce carbon emissions, enhance environmental protection, and foster sustainability within the industry, specifically regarding productivity, carbon consumption, and carbon emissions. Policymakers, manufacturers, and technical experts will participate in panel discussions, and we will also release a paper discussing the roadmap to making steel carbon-neutral by 2047. Chhattisgarh is renowned for its steel production. The state possesses coal and iron ore mines and plays a pivotal role in the nation's development. By reducing carbon emissions and producing green steel here, we can export the product to both domestic and international markets. Currently, European nations are actively seeking green steel and are even willing to pay a premium for it. Chhattisgarh is a crucial part of the drive to realise Prime Minister Modi's vision of making the country carbon-neutral and minimising carbon emissions by 2047. Green steel doesn't simply mean producing steel using hydrogen. We are also looking at the carbon emissions and consumption associated with using sources like solar or hydroelectric power…”

BREAKING: PRINCIPAL OF ENOCH BURKE’S SCHOOL ‘MOVES ON’ - GIVEN NEW JOB AT TOP STATE EDUCATION BODY On Tuesday this week an email was sent to parents at Wilson’s Hospital School notifying that Principal Frank Milling will be moving on from the school, and taking up a post with the NCCA (the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment), a state body that advises the Minister for Education. Three years ago, in May 2022, Enoch Burke was commanded by the then Principal Niamh McShane to use the "they" pronoun for a 3rd year student. Very shortly after making that demand, Principal McShane (who had commenced a Stage 4 disciplinary process against Enoch Burke) left the school to become a Principal in Bandon, County Cork. She was replaced as Principal by Mr Frank Milling. Mr Milling treated Enoch Burke very badly. For turning up to work, he was shouted at, mocked, and humiliated. All the while Mr Milling was persistent in his promotion of LGBT in the school. In 2023, when Enoch Burke lay in a prison cell, unjustly, Frank Milling was posing at the school with the transgender pride flag and posting it up on the school's social media. Frank Milling has now been given a job with the NCCA - the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment - the official state body that advises the Minister for Education (Helen McEntee) on what young people should be learning in school. Mr Milling’s appointment follows on from an alarming video sent to the school by the Fine Gael leader last year, at which point Enoch Burke had been languishing in prison for over 400 days, where Simon Harris specifically thanked Mr Milling in his role as School Principal. That this man will now decide what young people should be learning in school is something every parent should be concerned about.
