Before you think he was talking about/to just the American people, think again. Trump wove ALL the failures that he had to fix, and did starting on DAY ONE, into his reasoning. The failures Trump is correcting go back FORTY-SEVEN YEARS. "They have to be stopped. And they've killed thousands, hundreds of thousands of people. They killed 52,000 protesters over the last 3 months. So when you say we're not doing well, I think we're doing phenomenally well. Our military has been incredible."
