When you look at your email from say, Home Depot, they know you looked at it. I always get a follow up email saying “we saw you looking, just wondering if your still interested”. We are all under surveillance.

About a year ago, I asked my lawyer if this was possible and legal. He said yes to both. He added that they can wire tap you live with a court order

I disabled microphones on all computers and I don't use a smart phone. My mother loves her Alexa but unless the deep state loves Karen Carpenter songs, they won't get much out of that.

People who want any measure of privacy need to make changes to prevent this kind of surveillance. No “Alexa” type devices, never authorize voice recognition, use 2-factor authentication, block unknown contacts, delete emails, etc.

Our devices constantly listen, watch, and record our words, actions, and keystrokes. The worst part? We consented to this, and few seem to care. Welcome to the surveillance state.

Alexa spies on us. Our phones and apps spy on us. Our laptops spy on us. Our TVs spy on us. Our cars are rolling spyware devices. Even our appiances spy on us and sell the data to third parties who do God knows what with our data. The only way to opt out is not own these things.
