Can’t lie I see where you’re coming from and yesterday there were so many horrible stoppages especially from the Kabayel undercard fights but this one wasn’t the worst but yeah boxing is the wild Wild West

Dalton Smith, was on it from round 1, Going into the 5th Smith was easily 3 rounds up. Good fight though.

For me I had it 2-2 but anyone saying 3-1 dalton at the time of the stoppage I got no issue with, but the 5th round Matias did look like the fight was starting to turn in his favour but dalton was still catching him

Matias was starting to get into a rhythm, but Smith stood him toe to toe, I think the holding from Dalton the previous rounds was strategy to frustrate Matias. Exciting fight non the less, think Matias underestimated Smith's chin and power. Smith never been dropped.

Yeah it was very tactical of smith as I thought the holding might have been that he started to feel Matias shots but the way dalton beat Matias at his own game is something to be respected

Definitely strategy, previous fights I have never seen Smith holding, if you see the fight against Jose Zepeda ( who can also bang) Smith boxed using his movement and counter punching.

Mathias has longer reach,he is supposed to keep his distance, try to fight outside with the jab…but he is the one brawling with the smaller man and taking the role of Smith…that’s why he got beat. ! Just like ray ford beat Nova bc he didn’t know how to use his reach advantage

Nah he was getting worked but that stoppage wasn’t the best. There was fighters on that card that got dropped multiple times and were allowed to continue. Then for the main event, world champ he doesn’t get it after getting up at 7? Didn’t even ask him to take a few steps over

Matias gon get beat by anyone who has a good chin, punching form, and power. Seems like he just throw arm punches but his power allows him too. Toe to toe, the better technique will win

Some of the worst commentators I’ve ever heard, so biased for matias, it wasn’t matias breaking smith down it was the other way around. Great performance overseas for @daltonsmith08 well deserved win

Who was the commentators on this fight? It was awful. Dalton was beating this guy up and the commentators tried to make it sound like matias was winning and was landing better shots. Abaokutely awful to listen to. Everything they said they tried to discredit Dalton.

@MrAndyClarke Not sure what fight the commentators were watching but Dalton Smith’s left hook to body and head was breaking Matia’s down. As soon as he found a home for the right hand it was curtains. Brilliant performance, fulfilling the potential many people saw in the amateurs. 👏👊
