Founder and CEO Chris Best says AI itself isn’t the problem. He loves seeing creators use it to translate their work, improve English-language prose, conduct deep research, and sharpen original analysis. But he doesn’t want Substack flooded with undifferentiated content anyone could generate from the same prompt. As Best wrote this morning: “We don’t want to wait until your Substack app turns into LinkedIn before we start to learn and make progress.”
