That’s why I really think this whole drama is a PsyOp… Just imagine the optics of now (all these drama) vs. if they just announced we want to join Microsoft or something like that 🤷‍♂️ It’s the differences between underdog and sellout 🤷‍♂️ Now Sam has been mostly painted as the person who’s been wronged rather than someone who actually just care about maximizing shareholder’s (investors) value.

I'm starting this new series Road to a $1M and I'd like to document the way there on Contra Not only for me, but for people to see what it takes, get inspired and understand you can do it yourself with freelance. What are the dos and don'ts and ultimately what works for me. Not sure how many episodes this series will have, as much as it takes I guess. Enjoy, and comment below if you have any questions :)

My honest take on this is that the boy’s privacy should simply be respected. It’s just unfortunate that mothers sometimes never believe their children, especially their sons, have grown. They still see them as the little babies they once were. As a mother, would you feel comfortable if the situation were reversed and your husband was insisting that he must see his daughter’s boil? You would probably call it all sorts of things and even accuse him of having ulterior motives. Mothers should lower their egos. Some children are simply shy, and some are educated enough to understand boundaries. The implication is that if he can’t show it to you, he probably won’t show it to a random outsider either. Your job is to educate and empower your children especially your daughters with the right knowledge since they may be more vulnerable in certain situations.

Strip the memorized internet, keep the reasoning. What’s left is the cognitive core, and it’s small. 2. the core might fit in ~1B params. Maybe less. “Plenty of room at the bottom.” We’ve been paying for a library when we needed a brain. 3. size stopped being the bottleneck. What makes an agent work is the tools it can call and how tight the feedback loop is, not parameter count. 4. intelligence lives in the system, not the weights. A raw LLM is a CPU with no OS. A model on your hardware is one no one can rate-limit, price-hike, or deprecate on you. in 12 months the gap between teams shipping on-device and teams paying per-token frontier bills won’t be capability. We built an 803-prompt eval across seven value categories, including freedom of expression, democracy, and privacy, and measured how often a model adopts China’s party line. After fine-tuning on roughly 53 million tokens, Arete-27B's propaganda rate fell from 22% to 1%, in line with the Western models we tested. Its Hermes Bench score shows no significant performance tradeoffs. The values in an open model are one fine-tune away.
