Praise His Holy name……He is the only one that can break the chains of bondage of sin. I was addicted to the same things she was; but by God’s grace & blood of the Lamb I no longer am. Those things no longer control me, I have my life back, my freedom, no longer a slave to sin.

This is precisely what the passage was talking about when it says - confess your sins to one another. It’s for uplifting and building up the body of Christ to show, yes I too have sinned and hears my testimony. It’s not meant the way Catholics teach in a booth.
