That's a BO-105 rotor head. Back in the 1980s I maintained this bird on an offshore natural gas production platform 100 miles south of Louisiana.

check this out if you like lofi music

Helicopters are a testament to the fact that with proper materials science, technology and engineering you can beat gravity into submission.

Does the rotor wing really change the angle of attack during each rotation. Can someone tell me why it wouldn’t be constant? Really cool and I’d love to learn.

That sure is some dedication by @thenewarea51 to film that😵💫😅

Me after watching for 1 second: "Oh hey this is cool!" Me after watching for 2 seconds: *pukes*

I'm a bit dizzy, can I get off?

EC145

Wind mill?? 🙀🙀

Is that an optical illusion or does the wire locking that bolt head actually move that much relative to the rotor on each rotation ? If so, seems it would have a fairly short life.

the MBB BO-105 Main Rotor ass. - same technic since 1967 - now in EC-XXX
