Such a Dad Conversation 🤣🤣

That was my father (who was a boomer). Though he never hid his expectations from my mother. He would not tolerate bullies in his home and expected (demanded really) that his son learn to draw a line of self respect and never allow any man to cross it without consequence. His lessons made me into a man. Decades later his lessons made my son into a man. Teach your boys to be men. Allow them to experience violence and then teach them when violence is appropriate and when it isn’t. Or raise weak boys who will never stand for anything.

@kiwacka Yep, When I came home my wife told me beat um, They deserve it, beat um. So I took them both in their bedroom closed the door, took off my belt and said very quietly. When I hit this bed with this belt you both need to scream... Pro tip, laughing children, can't scream...

My dad always said “in this family, we don’t start fights. We finish them.” When I got into fights, he would only ever ask, “did you start it? No? Good. But you finished it, right? Good job. Now take your punishment like a man.”
