I have such lovely memories as a little girl of watching snooker with my late father and watching the masters of snooker such as Ray Reardon. He always came across as a lovely man. RIP Ray, you were one of the legends of the game💔

Before his snooker career, Ray worked under my grandad on the police force at Hanley. He asked my grandad whether he should take up snooker professionally. My grandad advised against it and the rest is history 😊 They had my grandad on for Ray's This is Your Life. RIP Mr Reardon
