@Sandrification I love this scene! I think some people didn’t realize the importance of this scene to the themes of AoT. Life is worth living for those small moments of happiness and meaningful connections. Ultimately it all ends but those moments make it meaningful.

One of the most underrated, beautiful and greatest scene in the series

Armin was the last one to the tree because he was taking the time to slow down and appreciate the world around him. Eren never saw joy in the little things in life because he’d been so obsessed with moving forward. Armin was the one who truly experienced living in the moment. :)

The music and the still pictures elevate this scene so much. I love everything about it.

Love to see that Armin visited Eren's grave with Mikasa's adopted child from Historia's orphanage after the ending. Loved the symbolism of the three of them being around that tree. AOT started with them and also ended with them.
