The way they were treated was because they wanted to make it an official language. So the movie depicts what happened during the Hindi agitation... The censor board had some objections to Jana Nayagam. The censor board is an independent body. I am a National Executive Committee Member of the BJP and if my movie can be stuck for 4 years, the censor board can object to the release of any film that it doesn't deem fit for release... You cannot politicise everything in this country..."
