Not always... This year I think some records are being broken. I recall summers that were just the opposite. There were 3-4 straight months for with little or no rain in the mid-seventies. The baseball field had an inch of very fine dirt that made for many dusty games.

Yep. It seems like there are 5 torrential downpours per week, and the humidity hovers around a gross 90%.
