I’m sorry. I thought you were replying to my feminist thread. I should’ve read more carefully. Now I’m caught up. No, I don’t believe that it’s necessarily disingenuous to advocate for black media while choosing not to support a particular candidate. I think it would only be disingenuous or contradictory if the voter had a good faith belief that the candidate was the best choice with regard to their stated beliefs. For example, it’s not hypocritical to say that you are pro-Black and refuse to support the Black candidate, if you don’t believe that they are not the best person to advance Black issues.

I don’t necessarily disagree with you. However in this election voting third party was detrimental given the stakes and margins and the third party candidate hasn’t historically demonstrated that advancing Black issues is a core priority which makes that choice harder to justify
