"We need to continue to push forward. There's a [financial] disparity in college football. We need to close that gap." Head football coach Spencer Danielson (Spencer Danielson), his younger brother Ethan, and Boise State Athletics recently launched the 𝐁𝐔𝐈𝐋𝐃 𝐃𝐈𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐌. It's a crowdfunding-like effort where Spencer and Ethan are leading an attempt to call all of the small business in the state of Idaho to drum up support for the program. $NVDA CEO Jensen Huang: If we didn't support CoreWeave to exist, these neo clouds, these AI clouds wouldn't exist. If we didn't help CoreWeave exist, they would not exist. If we didn't support Nscale, they wouldn't be where they are today. If we didn't support Nebius, they wouldn't be where they are today. Now they're doing fantastically. Is that a business model? No. We should do as much as needed, as little as possible. And so we invest in our ecosystem because I want our ecosystem to thrive. We don't pick winners. We need to support everyone. It's part of our joy of doing so. It's imperative to our business. But we also go out of our way not to pick winners. So when I invest in one of them, I invest in all of them.

ICE and CBP officers are some of the most dedicated men and women in law enforcement in the U.S. They deserve the support of state and local officials — not harassment for keeping our communities safe. What happened in Minnesota is a tragedy but we should be careful to rush to judgment. There should be a detailed investigation. I’m confident that there will be and that there will be answers.

Cheryl Reeve on the Valkyries comeback and holding on to win “We weren’t surprised, that’s what Golden State does, especially here. They have a relentlessness about them and we knew they would get more aggressive… ultimately I wasn’t surprised by anything that happened in the game, including our response and that’s what we talked about before the game. It’s who this team is… in places like this… you have to have the ability to have physical and mental toughness”

#WATCH | Kolkata, West Bengal: On the state government's decision to enforce strict penalties for public littering and spitting, West Bengal Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Minister Agnimitra Paul says, "We are issuing fines on the 1st of September. If you throw something dirty on the road, spit, or urinate, there will be a fine. Therefore, we are giving dustbins at various places so that people do not throw things on the road. And wherever dustbins have not been provided yet, we will tell the citizens to keep them in their hands or in packets; do not throw them on the road. It is our responsibility to keep the city of Kolkata clean; it is our responsibility to keep our state clean. This cannot be taught..."

To my fellow citizens of Plateau State, One year ago, I took office as your Governor, committed to delivering the leadership you deserve. Reflecting on this past year, I am humbled by our collective achievements despite significant challenges, including insecurity, legal battles, and a prolonged civil service strike. We faced a massive debt burden, and urgent needs in healthcare and education, but with God's guidance and your support, we persisted. We tackled security issues head-on, reactivated Operation Rainbow, and launched a State Security and Information Center. Our legal mandate was affirmed by the Supreme Court, validating your trust in us. We've cleared salary backlogs, improved infrastructure with road construction projects, and launched initiatives like Tin City Metro and revitalized rail transport. Our focus on education reduced tuition fees by 50% for state indigenes and supported school improvements across the state. We secured scholarships for our students and facilitated staff development programs. In agriculture, we provided significant support to farmers and launched initiatives to enhance food security. We also signed agreements to boost power generation and industrialization. In healthcare, we revitalized the Plateau State Drugs and Medical Commodities Agency and improved facilities at the Plateau State Specialist hospital. We've supported civil servants through timely salary payments, training programs, and welfare enhancements. As we celebrate this milestone, let's remain united in building a prosperous Plateau State. Thank you for your unwavering support, and let's continue to work together for a brighter future. May God bless Plateau State and guide us all. Thank you and God bless.

On behalf of the government and good people of Ogun State, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group, for his renewed commitment to our dear state through his high-net-worth investments. Your decision to return to Ogun State Government - OGSG, driven by our administration’s vision and investor-friendly policies, is not just a testament to the confidence you have in our state but also a significant milestone that means a great deal to us. The reconstruction of the Itori cement plant and the bold move to develop the largest port in Nigeria at Olokola will undoubtedly open new doors of opportunities for our people, driving industrialization, job creation, and economic prosperity. Your unwavering belief in Nigeria and your relentless drive to position our nation as a self-sufficient economic powerhouse are truly commendable. We are proud to have Ogun State play a pivotal role in this national transformation. As an administration, we remain committed to fostering an enabling environment for investments to thrive. We assure you of our unwavering support as we work together towards the collective prosperity of our state and our great nation. Once again, we say thank you for believing in Ogun State. #BuildingOurFutureTogether #OgunStateMeansBusiness #InvestInOgun #DangoteInOgun #EconomicGrowth #IndustrialRevolution #ISEYA #DapoAbiodun

Bill O’Reilly TEES OFF on the USA women’s hockey team for REFUSING President Trump’s invite to the State of the Union. “What commitments?! It’s over!” He says there’s an anti-American culture amongst women’s sports teams that extends all the way back to the women’s soccer team. O’REILLY: “It was interesting that the women’s hockey team refused to go to the State of the Union.” “They did it politely. They weren’t like the Golden State Warriors. But I was taken aback by that.” “I’m still searching around, they go, well we have other commitments.” “What commitments?! What are you doing? It’s over!” “You don’t have anything! What are you having…a party?!” “Where you going?” Vittert pushed back. VITTERT: “No, they have another game. There’s a number of the women who have another game to play…” O’REILLY: “Okay, some of them don’t. So what should have happened was a women’s hockey team should have said, the ladies of want to go can go and the ladies that have to play, will play!” “There’s a different culture between the men’s hockey team and the women’s hockey team and it extends all the way back to the women’s soccer team, which was anti-american all day long.” “And that’s still in there. That’s my read on it.” “Any hockey player that wants to go to the State of the Union, man or women should be able to go.” “Why issuing are you issuing a blanket statement?”

At the end of the week, our team – together with American representatives – will continue to translate the points we secured in Geneva into a form that puts us on the path to peace and security guarantees. There will be a meeting of delegations, and the Ukrainian delegation will be well-prepared and focused on substantive work. We remain in close contact with the American side and our European friends. I am also briefing our partners in other parts of the world, and I am grateful to them for their support of our sovereignty and our state. In the meantime, we are doing everything possible to ensure that Ukraine has sufficient defense support.

After years of neglect in some local governments, we are ensuring fairness and equity by spreading development to every corner of our state. Roads are the backbone of economic growth, and through our rural transformation drive, we are creating jobs, unlocking opportunities, and laying a solid foundation for lasting prosperity for our people. These new road projects are more than just infrastructure; they are lifelines that will open up our communities.

YOU HAD A BAD GAME … GOOD As parents, we want the best for our kids. We want them to crush it on the court. When they don’t, it’s easy to get mad, make excuses, blame other people. Bad games are a blessing, bc of what we can learn from them. Players should be pissed at bad games… the more we embrace it and support them, the more they’ll use the adversity to grow and become stronger

Those of us focused on this work understand that some officials don’t want us all voting. They want the people who agree with them voting. I mentioned on rolandsmartin that @syritarsteib, @emilewashington, @wcsnowden and I went to St. James Parish to talk with Black folks about their power. It’s not wrong for Black people to want to see our tax dollars working for our communities. When the lack of Black leadership makes that deficit worse, uplifting Black leadership isn’t racist — it’s survival and wisdom. Right now, people from THIS state are trying to dismantle the Voting Rights Act. To act like race isn’t a factor is a lie. If we want a thriving future, we must use our critical mass, and demand real outcomes in return for our support. We pay into a system — and it should pay back into our communities. We are not hopeless or powerless, we are misinformed, uninformed, or disengaged. All of which can be addressed. When people ask what can we do, start talking to people and asking deeper questions to ensure they understand their power.

Our team is preparing four new security agreements for Ukraine. Negotiations will start soon, and we aim to swiftly finalize the documents for signing. These agreements will provide us with defense support, finances, and humanitarian cooperation. By then, we will have nearly thirty such agreements with our partners. Our goal is to include a diverse range of countries, not just NATO members. All of them are equally ready to help us defend our shared values. No matter what happens in the world, we need our own tools to support our people and state—our security arrangements that will work under any conditions. This is the way we are moving forward.

Capitalism is fundamentally amoral, it’s an engine designed for accumulation, not ethics. Without a state to set the "rules of the road," the engine eventually runs off the cliff. But not all states are created equal. In our latest Capitalisn’t podcast I argue that if we want a market that works for everyone, we can't just be "pro-market", we must be "pro-democracy." The two aren't just compatible; they are life-support for one another. Watch the full episode at this link:
