At the end of the week, our team – together with American representatives – will continue to translate the points we secured in Geneva into a form that puts us on the path to peace and security guarantees. There will be a meeting of delegations, and the Ukrainian delegation will be well-prepared and focused on substantive work. We remain in close contact with the American side and our European friends. I am also briefing our partners in other parts of the world, and I am grateful to them for their support of our sovereignty and our state. In the meantime, we are doing everything possible to ensure that Ukraine has sufficient defense support.

Those of us focused on this work understand that some officials don’t want us all voting. They want the people who agree with them voting. I mentioned on rolandsmartin that @syritarsteib, @emilewashington, @wcsnowden and I went to St. James Parish to talk with Black folks about their power. It’s not wrong for Black people to want to see our tax dollars working for our communities. When the lack of Black leadership makes that deficit worse, uplifting Black leadership isn’t racist — it’s survival and wisdom. Right now, people from THIS state are trying to dismantle the Voting Rights Act. To act like race isn’t a factor is a lie. If we want a thriving future, we must use our critical mass, and demand real outcomes in return for our support. We pay into a system — and it should pay back into our communities. We are not hopeless or powerless, we are misinformed, uninformed, or disengaged. All of which can be addressed. When people ask what can we do, start talking to people and asking deeper questions to ensure they understand their power.

Our team is preparing four new security agreements for Ukraine. Negotiations will start soon, and we aim to swiftly finalize the documents for signing. These agreements will provide us with defense support, finances, and humanitarian cooperation. By then, we will have nearly thirty such agreements with our partners. Our goal is to include a diverse range of countries, not just NATO members. All of them are equally ready to help us defend our shared values. Pensioners deserve dignity and financial security in retirement. Today, I led a debate in Parliament on the importance of securing a fair deal for our pensioners, and highlighted important contributions from Silver Voices about the impact of taxing the state pension. We know that pensioners face additional costs, such as higher heating bills. They have worked hard for decades, and many have served our country. We must do all we can to support them in retirement.

The second game, they kind of played it like, we're going to drop back, we can't hang with these guys skill for skill, so we’re going to try to keep everything in front of us. “So that's what they did, and for them it worked. So we went out there to that game and we definitely had a really good game plan against those guys, but they executed well. “So kudos to them, tip my hats to them because they won the national championship.
