George Gammon says an entire generation locked out of the thing every generation before them took for granted cannot hold indefinitely, because people will put up with a lot of rules and paperwork and inconvenience before they snap. However one of the central arguments in favor of the federal reserve system was that it would be able to sure up the small banks in the event of a crisis. What happened is these small banks were taken over by bigger banks. Banks that were a part of the Fed. The farmer lost their money, kept their debt, and many of them lost their farms.” -Richard Werner

Rogin: It looks very likely that we're about to restart bombing of Iran. And there are a lot of reports out there that this is about to happen. And what that means is that all of the problems, not just with the US economy, with the economy of every country in the world, are about to get worse. And it means that the Iran war is going to go much longer than otherwise anticipated. And that is a disaster not just for Americans, but for all people. And then if you think about the effects on energy and then manufacturing, and then rates will continue to go up, and then inflation, it's a it's a calamity for the world economy with no strategy whatsoever.

Buttigieg: Usually you're trying to fight those kinds of price effects that consumers are facing, not doing what the Trump administration is doing, which is actively causing them. Vladimir Putin launched a war. The result was that there were supply shocks and oil went up, and then we all did everything that we could in the administration, and all of us as Americans, did what we could to deal with that. Here you have a very different situation. The president launched a war of choice, and now we're all dealing with the consequences and the people who are paying the heaviest price, of course, are the service members, many of whom have given their lives, over 200 have reportedly been injured. But also every American is paying the price. Mortgage rates are going up because of this war. Grocery prices are going to go up because of this war. And of course, the price of gas is already way up because of Donald Trump's war.
