It was based on Atari’s earlier arcade game Tank (released in 1974). In Combat, you control a tank, biplane, or jet and fight against another player. I always wondered what the use case for VR glasses would be. Now I know. In 2025, Genie 3 gave us our first glimpse of how the holodeck or fictional matrix will be generated. In the future, games will not be developed—they will be generated on demand. You will be able to immerse yourself in worlds. Put on your VR glasses and say where you want to be. Immerse yourself in other worlds out of nowhere—whatever and wherever you want. I never expected this to become reality so quickly.

😄 In St. Petersburg, a police officer played VR during the detention of a Belarusian wanted for draft evasion The detention took place in an anti-café. While officers were processing the man, one of the policemen put on a VR headset and started playing — the staff even helped him set it up. It seems the Belarusian was the only one in this story who wasn’t in the mood for games.

One of my favorite childhood game series made it's way into VR! I use to play tons of Flatout 2 back on the PS2, but this was just unreal to see in the headset. I didn't have high hopes originally, but man did this game deliver!
