If you want to fault me for not making the leap and realizing he meant “if I give it up, does it die with me if I’m eliminated,” then sure, go ahead. But he didn’t ask that, and that would obviously be a ridiculous scenario anyway, so I’m not sure how I’d even leap to it.

Jeff i rewatched it multiple times. He asked clarification that if he gets eliminated it’s dead and you said yes. Francis was in the right for how he took it. Now @stoolpresidente had an idol thanks to you. @DanteTheDon we might to do an investigation to see if Jeff is getting some sort of kickback.

I know he took it different, but I answered the question he asked. If you want to fault me for not leaping to the assumption he meant "if I die, does the idol die with me if I give it away," (answer obviously being NO) then sure, I guess. But that's an insane assumption. If Dave asked that question, and I stopped the game and went, "actually, let's dive more into what you're asking?" I am guessing you wouldn't be on about this.

I mean watching it, Francis was 100% right in his read. If “he’s eliminated the idol dies”, never once stated he had to be holding it. That’s the kind of the clarification a host really should be making and taking accountability for it. That said, would’ve gone home either way or Dave would’ve told Ria to go Moobie. Shame we will never know the real outcome from this failure.

Just admit you’re an awful host on a power trip. The rules were technically handled correctly, but Francis clearly didn’t know true Survivor. You explained that so poorly to him. Had you explained it correctly, he could have negotiated with Dave/BC/Ria to keep him and he’d use the idol in the future for them. It was a negotiation chip that you didn’t even allow him to at least try and use
