Interesting decision by the Collins political team to have her do this, and to see it come out the morning after Troy Jackson’s first town hall. How many voters in Maine will actually hear or view this conversation? Longtime supporters and opponents of the Senator aren’t likely to hear anything here that will change their minds. The question is how this lands with those key voters in the middle (center-left, center-right) that have helped reelect Collins over and over, but are now deeply worried about the overall direction of the country under a supine GOP and see a need to check the President’s power.
