SUV was being pulled over and stopped on the road rather than the shoulder, and then they were hit by the semi. Who's at fault?

“Killled were Ah RA Hin, 46, Ma Mya Kahing, 50, both from Ft. Wayne, Indiana; and Be AH Cha, 41, and Onaiza Doa Be, 17, both from Houston.” Semi driver sentenced to 8 months in jail. Car full of foreigners. The ones that died were illegally seated in the storage area of the SUV.

While the truck was supposed to move over and is probably legally at fault....what kind of retard stops in the middle of the highway at night...?

My first thought was I bet they were migrants. I struggle to believe a licensed American would stop on an interstate in the dark, but anything is possible I suppose

SUV, you do NOT stop on the HIGHWAY, you are asking to be killed, seriously

The dumbass who stopped in the middle of the road

Gonna say truckers fault for not being considerate of the flashing lights and moving to the outside lane.

Have you been in an accident? We can help!

The suv , they never should of stopped on the highway

Horrible for the passengers, but the driver was a dumbass or shouldn't have or didn't have a license.

Not to say he wasn’t at fault but the lights on squad cars is so damn bright I can believe that he didn’t see the suv until it was too late

Partly the idiot driver, partially the trucker, I know hard to stop that much weight, but if you hit anyone in the back you’re at fault… that said don’t stop on the interstate
