The flight continued to Las Vegas, where it landed uneventfully. Southwest is engaged with the Federal Aviation Administration to further understand the circumstances. No injuries were immediately reported by Customers, but two Flight Attendants are being treated for injuries. We appreciate the professionalism of our Flight Crew and Flight Attendants in responding to this event. Nothing is more important to Southwest than the Safety of our Customers and Employees."

Southwest Airlines has confirmed that one of its flights was forced to take evasive action to avoid colliding with another flight at Nashville International Airport over the weekend. Southwest reports that while approaching BNA amid gusty wind conditions, pilots of Southwest Flight 507 executed a precautionary go-around. During that action, the pilots used instructions from air traffic control and an onboard traffic alert to avoid conflicting with Southwest Flight 1152, which was departing from another runway. Flight 507 was able to land after the go-around and Flight 1152 continued to its destination in Knoxville. “We are engaged with the FAA as part of the investigation. Southwest appreciates the professionalism of its Pilots and Flight Crews in responding to the event. Nothing is more important to Southwest than the Safety of our Customers and Employees,” the airline said in a statement. Video: Flightradar24

A passenger aboard United Airlines Boeing 787-9 flight UA2 from Singapore to San Francisco posted a video showing water leaking from an air grille. The passenger alerted a flight attendant, who then notified the flight crew. According to the passenger, the pilots came to inspect the issue and appeared visibly puzzled before calling in maintenance personnel. Passengers were escorted back to the terminal while maintenance checked it. Ultimately, the 15-hour flight was canceled. My take: Singapore's extremely humid climate means the water could have been the result of air-conditioning condensation or a leak from a water line. It's a lot easier to fix these things on the ground because maintenance is never done in the air. 📹: u/Xycergy

🚨 SHOCKED PASSENGERS WATCH A MAN TURN A COMMERCIAL FLIGHT INTO AN LED RAVE - AND NO ONE STOPPED HIM Passengers aboard a American Airlines flight from Chicago to Miami say a man stood up mid-flight and started gloving, hand-dancing with flashing LED gloves, and playing music out loud while the plane was cruising at 30,000 feet. With the cabin lights dimmed, the glowing gloves lit up the aisle and reflected across the ceiling and seats. Phones came out almost immediately. Some passengers laughed nervously, others looked stunned, and a few appeared genuinely freaked out watching it unfold while strapped into their seats. What’s throwing people off isn’t just the performance, it’s that there was no announcement and no immediate crew response. For several moments, it simply continued, turning a routine flight into something no one expected and no one asked for. Should this have been stopped immediately or are we normalizing anything goes on planes now?

JUST IN: 34-year-old American Airlines passenger who was gagged and strapped with duct tape, is being sued by the Federal Aviation Administration. Heather Wells was accused of trying to open an aircraft door mid-flight from Dallas to Charlotte, NC. Flight attendants, with help from a passenger, were able to restrain Wells with duct tape after she tried to kick, spit, and head-butt people. The incident happened after Wells had a drink of Jack Daniels and started running down the aisle to open the front cabin door as she yelled profanities. The incident happened in 2021. The FAA fined Wells $81,950 in 2022 which she has yet to pay. US attorney Jaime Esparza is now filing a lawsuit on behalf of the FAA to collect money from Wells.
