This is a video of Sweida, Syria, during Christmas last year. Sweida is basically the only region in Syria where non-Muslims have some sort of autonomy. Around half a million people live there, over 90% are Druze and nearly 10% are Christians, with not many Muslims. Despite being overwhelmingly Druze, it’s the only truly safe region in Syria for Christians. The Druze celebrate Christmas, Easter, and even attend church alongside their Christian neighbors. And this is precisely why the Druze are now under attack in Syria. In just the last two days, over 600 Druze have been killed by the Islamist government. They cannot tolerate the idea of non-Muslims governing themselves and living in peace. Islamist forces are now trying to invade Sweida and commit genocide against its Druze and Christian population. Their goal is to kill the men and take the women as sex slaves, just as their ISIS predecessors did. Fortunately, the Druze are heavily armed, well-trained, and supported by Israel. But they still need our support, prayers, and attention to stand against this evil! 🇸🇨
