Seokjin, you can come to us any way u like 🥺 🐹So yesterday, I really wanted to post something right at midnight, but I was not sure how to put it into words. So I just wrote something with a heart full of gratitude. I did. But then, the way I feel is that I always end up writing something that just conveys my gratitude to you all, and ah… I actually wish I could talk to you in a lighter and more casual way, but I feel like I haven’t really been able to, and I find that a bit disappointing/sad. It feels like I always come across too serious (than I meant to be). I want to be lighter and more easygoing with you, not approaching you in a heavy, formal way, but rather in a friendly and casual way. But these days, even when I try something lighthearted, there have been various things going on and with the group activities and everything and so….. So it feels like the sense of closeness has become a bit distant. I’ll try harder to connect with you in a warmer and more approachable way.

My jaw dropped listening to this There are people gaming the foster care system making $26,000 per month. If they can get their kids on medications and have them fail classes, they get paid more money (WOW) “That's how bad people are making money out of foster care. So I go to this adoption assistant program — I meet this one woman and she's like, "Oh yeah, what you wanna do is you wanna get a D-rate kid." I was like, "What's a D-rate kid? What does that mean?" And she goes, "Oh honey, I make $28,000 a month off foster care." And I was like, "What?" And she was like, "Yeah, because I have this many kids." And she goes, "Here's the thing. You wanna make sure they fail in school. If they fail in school and you can get them on medication, your rate goes up." Every time they don't pass a grade, your rate goes up because they're a more difficult kid. Every time they need a medication, your rate goes up. I think the intentions of increasing the rate was to incentivize good people to stick with it. What it did is incentivize all the wrong people. People who are in it for the money instead of for the love of a child” I looked into this and found federal audits have been done proving that fosters kids are being over prescribed medications, up to 4x the normal rate and the foster parents get payment increases for it Not only that but with behavioral issues it can bump payments up to over $6,000 per child per month

Raymond Chandler is accused of sending the following voicemail to a member of Congress: "Sir, I have, uh, I'm calling this morning ’cause I want you to imagine a scenario. I want you to imagine a scenario where all the 1,200 billionaires in this country, all their properties, are surrounded simultaneously by a thousand people." 🇬🇧 Josh Kerr shared an injury update on Instagram about his calf injury and what happened in the World Championships 1500m final. "What happened to me was the last 10 meters or so of the semifinal – obviously a lot of hustle and bustle and a big pack of guys trying to get to the line as racing is. During the fall over the line, I overstretched and I kicked my calf and then strained it with the overstretch and fall. A reasonably mild strain – nothing like crazy. A lot of bruising, but it felt like with the right amount of adrenaline, I could figure out how to make the final happen and still come out with the result I wanted. Relied a lot on my medical team and we got pretty close. Felt pretty confident going into the final. I was just ready to send it. With 600m to go in the World final, I fully pulled my calf. Grade 2 is what I'm getting told. Adrenaline pumping, I was like, 'You're staying in this race.' The plan was to stay in for the full 1500m. I committed to that, but obviously, you saw the result of what that looked like. Definitely did some more damage to that in that last 600m than right away but my job is to get to the finish line as quickly as possible and that's what I wanted to commit to. You never know what can happen with these races."

When making The Departed, Jack Nicholson told Matt Damon, “I never would've made it this far in my career if I wasn't a great fucking writer.” Meaning, he would contribute great ideas to a story through his performance and improvisation. Damon recalls a perfect example of this: “And I'll give you one story - it was my favorite thing that happened on The Departed, was this story about a scene that I was not in, but he (Nicholson) was - it was 1 eighth of a page, and it said Costello - which is the name of his character - ‘Costello executes man kneeling in the marshes.’ Now, most people look at that, and they'll go, ‘All right, it's gonna be one shot - that's gonna be an hour of work, and that's all I'm doing that day, or whatever.’ He looked at that, and he goes, ‘Okay, I can do that, but I think I can make it better.’ And so he's telling me this story. He goes, (in Jack Nicholson’s voice) ‘So what I do is,’… he goes, ‘I come from the Roger Corman School, so I'm not gonna add any time, and I'm not gonna add to your budget. But instead of a man kneeling in the marshes, I make it a woman.’ ...And he goes, ‘So I'm gonna execute a woman, but I'm not gonna be alone. I put Ray (Winston) in the scene with me - and I shoot her in the back of the head like it says in the script. But if you leave the camera rolling, after she falls, I turn to Ray and I say, geez, she fell funny. Now that's a really sinister thing to say. Because it means I do this a lot, and there's a way people fall. And she didn't fall that way.’ And I go, ‘oh yeah, I get it man, I get it.’ ‘Now you could end the scene there, but if you leave the camera rolling, Ray steps forward, and he reveals that he's holding an axe. She's gonna chop her up. Now you could end the scene there.’ He goes, ‘But if you leave the camera rolling, I turn to Ray and say, “wait, I think I wanna fuck her again.”’ And he goes, ‘Now that's a very sinister line.’ I get it, I get it, it's really, really, really disturbing. And he says, Now you could end the scene there, but if you keep the camera rolling, Ray stops and looks at me, and there's a pause. And I go….ah! He goes, ‘And that's a sinister thing to do, “'cause we're making a joke out of this whole thing.” And I go, yeah, I get it, I get it. ‘Now you could end the scene there, but if you leave the camera rolling, Ray says, “Francis, you really oughta see someone.” And so that's what they did. He took this one eighth of a page scene, and he did all of that, and they had two cameras on it, so it could cut back and forth.
