Big milestone for Mumbai’s Underground Mobility Project: Orange Gate–Marine Drive Tunnel Begins Main Drive The Orange Gate–Marine Drive Road Tunnel, one of India’s most complex urban road tunnelling projects, has reached another historic milestone with the main tunnelling drive now officially underway. This is a pivotal moment for Mumbai’s underground mobility network. Purpose-built for Mumbai’s challenging coastal geology, the Tunnel Boring Machine — India’s largest slurry shield TBM for an urban road tunnel — achieved a crucial breakthrough recently, and has since advanced rapidly, excavating an impressive 70 metres within a few days. Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis and Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister & MMRDA Chairman Shri Eknath Shinde had launched the TBM on December 3, 2025. The project involves the construction of twin tunnels spanning over 7 km. The first tunnel, currently under construction, extends 3.45 km, reaching depths of up to 52 metres, while passing beneath the Central and Western Railway corridors and Mumbai Metro Line 3 with exceptional safety and engineering precision. Once complete, the project will reduce travel time between Orange Gate and Marine Drive to just 5 minutes, enabling seamless East-West connectivity, direct integration with the Coastal Road and Atal Setu, and significantly reducing congestion, fuel consumption and emissions. For almost the entire history of fighter aviation, one rule remained unchanged, Avoid the stall. At extreme angles of attack, airflow separates from the wings and control surfaces lose effectiveness. The aircraft enters a region where pilots have very little authority or control over the aircraft. NASA decided to ask a different question, What if a fighter could remain controllable after entering the stall? Between 1987 and 1996, NASA, the USA Navy and McDonnell Douglas transformed a pre-production FA -18 Hornet into the High Alpha Research Vehicle (HARV) a flying laboratory designed to explore flight beyond conventional aerodynamic limits. The solution was unlike anything seen on an operational fighter at the time across the world. Instead of relying only on aerodynamic control surfaces, engineers installed six thrust-vectoring paddles around the exhaust of two General Electric F404 engines. These massive control surfaces redirected engine thrust itself, allowing the aircraft to manoeuvre when normal controls were becoming ineffective. But making it work required solving an extreme materials challenge. The paddles sat directly in the engine exhaust stream, exposed to enormous temperatures and mechanical forces. They were built using Inconel, a nickel-based superalloy designed to maintain strength in extreme heat. Special actuation systems had to move these structures precisely while surviving repeated high-temperature operation, all were purpose built. The modification added around 2,200 lb (1,000 kg) of thrust-vectoring hardware alone, turning the F/A-18 into one of the most heavily instrumented research aircraft of its era. HARV completed 385 research flights in Area 51, demonstrating controlled flight at around 70° angle of attack, a regime where conventional fighters would normally lose control. The data collected helped shape the future of advanced fighter design, influencing later programs including the F-22 Raptor, where thrust-vectoring became an operational capability. HARV was built as a research aircraft with a clear combat purpose, to understand how far fighter manoeuvrability could be pushed. On June 5, 2023, Aidan Kearney took his defamation and intimidation campaign to a CHILDREN’S LACROSSE GAME. A children’s sporting event. A place where families should be able to sit in the stands, cheer for their kids, and enjoy a few hours of normalcy. Instead, Aidan Kearney showed up with his cameraman, Richie Koeugh (Microdots ), and turned that lacrosse field into another backdrop for his campaign against people he had decided were his targets. Minor children were there. Children watched as this man and his cameraman stood there broadcasting their version of events and spewing allegations about their family, their friends, and people they knew, respected, and cared about until they were ultimately forced to leave the stadium. Imagine being a child and watching an adult publicly attack people you love at the very place you came to play a sport. What kind of person does that? Apparently, the kind who believes nothing is off limits. Aidan Kearney has repeatedly demonstrated that there are no boundaries he won't cross when he believes there is an audience to be captured, a story to manufacture, or clicks and views to be gained. And we've seen that yet again. Most recently, Kearney publicly identified and exposed a juror who had chosen to remain private after performing one of our nation's most important civic responsibilities: serving on a jury. That juror's identity had been protected by the court, yet Kearney chose to put him in the spotlight anyway.
