Syria has suffered a devastating earthquake; hundreds reported dead. This war-ravaged country is under crippling US sanctions. In 2019, current senior US official Dana Stroul bragged that most of Syria is "rubble" and that the US can "hold the line on preventing reconstruction."

I don't how the architects/cheerleaders of the dirty war/murderous US sanctions on Syria look themselves in the mirror. That question becomes newly salient today as Syria deals with an earthquake that has added more rubble to that which foreign sadists created and maintained.

The US military occupies 1/3 of Syria, stealing its oil and wheat. Combined with the US sanctions, this military occupation deprives Syria of the fuel it needs to power vehicles and machines. That will make it even more difficult to rescue people trapped under the rubble.

@dstroul What a ghoul! The withholding of reconstruction aid is a crime against the non-combatant population. It is a war crime! I guess just add it to the gigantic list of US war crimes.
