What do you think the chances are of a narrative redemption arc by Assad? I’ve been digging into his history, and what he was trying to accomplish 20+ years ago for Syria was ambitious and impressive. Seems like he was put into a difficult position surrounded by too much corruption, and then the US started interfering via “election integrity” and psychological warfare— similar to what it did to its own population in 2020. The Five Seas Plan intrigues me.
