🇸🇾 Armed clashes have erupted across multiple regions of Syria involving al-Julani-aligned militants, the SDF, and other local forces. In Deir ez-Zor province, al-Julani’s militants fought with SDF units in the town of Gharanij, capturing four SDF fighters. Reinforcements from the SDF have since been deployed to the area. Meanwhile, Turkish army units entered the city of Manbij, east of Aleppo, in support of al-Julani and in preparation for upcoming joint military operations with the SDF. Fighting has also spread southward: in the Suwayda countryside, fierce clashes broke out between Druze fighters and al-Julani’s forces in the village of Ara. In Raqqa province, al-Julani’s militants clashed with the SDF in the village of Maadan.
