The warriors of the 95th Polissia Separate Air Assault Brigade are carrying out missions in the Oleksandrivskyi sector. It is one of the brigades that has made a significant contribution to preserving our state. Brave, strong, and absolutely honest warriors who look the enemy in the eye, are not afraid, and know that more of the enemy must be destroyed – then Ukraine will win. Today, together with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi, I met with the defenders at the brigade’s command post and presented them with state awards. I also spoke with brigade and battalion commanders of the Airborne Assault Forces. Among the key issues were recruitment, mobilization, the involvement of foreign volunteers, AWOL cases, and providing units with the necessary weapons and equipment. We documented everything, and the task for the Commander-in-Chief and the Minister of Defense is to promptly meet these needs of our warriors. I thank the defenders – each and every one of you who are holding our positions and defending our land. We are proud of you.

FACT-CHECK: No Brigade Commander Abducted in Damboa Ambush – Viral Claim False By: Zagazola Makama Zagazola has verified as false the viral claim circulating on social media alleging that Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters ambushed a Nigerian military convoy on Friday night, killing several soldiers and abducting a Brigade Commander with other troops. Following a detailed investigation supported by military sources, ground verifications, and a video released by the Brigade Commander himself, Zagazola can categorically confirm that no senior officer was abducted by ISWAP. Contrary to online reports, the ambush did not occur at night. The incident happened between 1330 and 1600 hours along the Main Supply Route (MSR) Burum–Kubua axis, near Azir/Wajiroko, on the Damboa–Biu road in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State. Troops of 25 Task Force Brigade, operating with Hybrid Forces and Forest Guards, came under a deliberate ISWAP ambush executed by fighters linked to Ba Shuwa and Abu Qudama, who had maneuvered from the Sabil Huda axis of Sambisa/Bama into the Timbouctou–Farouq Triangle. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced Lieutenant General Susan Coyle AM CSC DSM will be appointed the new Chief of Army. Coyle is currently Chief of Joint Capabilities. She enlisted in the Army Reserves in 1987 and later graduated from Duntroon in 1992. Her roles have included head of information warfare, Commander Forces Command, Commander Joint Task Force 633, Commander 6 Brigade, Commander Task Force Afghanistan, and Commanding Officer 17 Signal Regiment. Coyle will be the first woman in Australia’s history to command the Army, and the first woman to command a service. Defence Minister Richard Marles said she has commanded at every rank she has held and was the standout candidate to succeed General Stuart. He said her recent work has come during a period of expanding and changing capability. Coyle’s appointment is framed by the government as a historic milestone for the Australian Defence Force. Marles said it would be significant for women currently serving, and for women considering service.
