This Bada app, which is still under development, enables file sharing between non-iOS phones. Whether you are using an international Samsung model or a China version Samsung model, it can share files with OPPO, vivo, Xiaomi, Honor, and even Huawei HarmonyOS devices. In essence, Bada temporarily gives Android and HarmonyOS devices that do not have native Quick Share support a Quick Share-like file sharing capability. I tested it myself. After installing Bada on the Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max through ZhuoyiTong, it was able to transfer files with a Samsung phone successfully. The demo below shows file sharing between the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and the Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max. The process is very convenient. Just select photos or videos in the gallery, choose Bada the same way you would use Samsung sharing, then tap confirm on the Huawei phone to receive the files. I got Llama 3 running in my browser using only my GPU with my Wi-Fi switched OFF completely client-side WebGPU is a new feature in browsers where JS can use the GPU of the device and apparently you can run LLMs on it too, and it's fast! My end goal for 🧠 is a locally run client side 100% private conversation where nothing gets sent to, processed in or stored in the cloud This will be helpful because I prefer making it web based instead of coding for 4 different native platforms (iOS, Android, MacOS, Windows) Two challenges still: 1) the user has to download the LLM model first and the smallest model is still ~3GB, but they only have to download it once 2) not all devices have fast GPUs yet for LLMs, but it's starting to become a default in most devices e.g.s smartphones

Imagine leaving the gym... then your iPhone warns you that someone you've never met is tracking your every move. I wonder how long the people are gonna shamelessly defend Samsung all over :] The Galaxy S26 Ultra, which costs about 1500$ for the 512GB variant, might probably be the MOST EXPENSIVE Android in the 2026 as well... yet it can't even run the well optimized mainstream games on 60FPS for just 01 MINUTE... like for real man!‽ 😂 In the recent post where I posted the poor performance of S26 Ultra foe Wuthering Waves, people blamed the game... so here some gameplay test results from your so-called "MOST PERFECT, MOST OPTIMIZED" Hoyo games 🙂‍↕️ The FPS drops to avg 44-47 while just walking around in Genshin Impact after just playing for 4 or 6 minutes. The device completely crashes while playing Zenless Zone Zero at max settings and the FPS even drops to 27 during heavy combat... not in a long gaming session but it was a result of a 15min gameplay test 🥀 Now as for Wuthering Waves, yet it is the most hungry game among the mainstreams, yet the game is also getting slightly better at performance with each new patch update (not major version updates) While devices like IQOO 15 and POCO F8 Ultra with the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 are able to run the game for locked 60FPS for atleast 6mins, at the same session the S26 Ultra can't even reach 53FPS and the minimum it reaches during overworld battles is just 11FPS... crazy isn't it? 😂 Having a 200mp ai assisted camera and a so-called privacy display doesn't mean it's the best and has to be 1800$ while it can't even compete with a 450$ Chinese midrange smartphone at performance. SSDs are built to be workload agnostic. They have their own controllers and garbage collectors meant to balance performance of many different I/O patterns. DBMS are written to support arbitrary backing I/O devices: SSD, HDD, or even a remote storage system. It's good that they're written to be broadly performant! The point of the paper was that, if you're willing to build something that specifically targets local SSDs (and even specific models of local SSDs) you can optimize the full DBMS -> OS -> hardware stack for the exact characteristics of a workload and hardware specifications. This is a classic tradeoff. You can usually get better performance as you narrow scope for specific hardware, architectures, etc. Maintainers of OSS must walk a careful balance of optimizing for performance while also maintaining wide compatibility.
