Unfortunately this sound is forever lost . The hit different-guard down-good days-nightbird-asparagus-down 4 u era wouldv’ve literally made a sequel to Ctrl but obviously Lunch had to ruin it for all of us

I get your sentiment and I’m not a ***** fan either but I think it worked out for the best, esp w Lana being like the side Bs. unfortunately this type of sound of guard down / nightbird / miss nomad was my faaaaav too so I get u but I think it’s coming back around though for SZA3 in a more fresh / instrumental way

And i wouldn’t say this sound is coming back around as she seems to be leaning into more fully fleshed out songs with live bands n stuff, which is very far from the dark , ambient-ish trap sound of guard down n hit different.. However thats good! bc we’re really getting NEW stuff

Oh for sure I meant lyrically but tbh I’d rather have instrumental healings than a washed trap r&b beat no shade💕
